So the rise in fuel tax is a Tory plot?

Maybe not

http://www.petrolprices.com/blog/duty-rise...-weeks-110.html

Who started the fuel duty .

A couple of interesting statistics and you guest it it was the conservative party who reintroduced the fuel tax after the liberals scrapped it

1909 - In 1909 fuel duty was introduced by the Liberal government led by Herbert Henry Asquith. A gallon of petrol cost 13d including 21.4% fuel duty.

1919 - Although petrol prices rose to 38d in 1919 (16% of that included fuel duty), the British government - under a coalition led by Liberal prime minister David Lloyd George- replaced it with road tax.

1929 - Fuel duty returned in 1929 under the Conservative government led by Stanley Baldwin. A gallon cost 19d including 21% fuel duty

Yes, but Labour recognise a good idea when they see one ;)

European equality legislation, European equality law stated that we had it in place by the end of this year.

Who took us into Europe? O yes I remember now. The conservatives. :D

A referendum put us into the 'common market' a trading group and I think you will find all parties supported the move to the EU inc Mr H Wilson, but then, now we know the full impact of EU membership, who promised a referendum on same and failed to deliver, oh yes Mr Brown

Think it was a referendum on single currency, decided against it because he was to busy trying to save economical meltdown of Europe brought on by capitalist greed. :P

Talking about Labour politicians and the EU

Try this one:

http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/225105...g-40-000-in-tax

or how about Baron Mandelson (you remember, the lying little smarmy ****** that they had to sack twice. The one that Gordon Brown decided would save his job but couldn't get elected, so they made him a baron :P )

Since he left the cushy little job that Blair found for him in Brussels he has been receiving £8000.00 a MONTH in a sort of pension, just to tide him over. This on top of his wages and I assume a pension from being in the last Government.

Well, you will be glad to hear that he has finally got himself a nice new position as a director of a bank.

You really couldn't make it up. <_<
