Why, them Kingfishers, need to be wiped out along with the otters :)

 

Apparently they eat all of the fry and small fish. The future of angling is doomed.

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

Funnily enough, at the spot where I caught my chub from yesterday evening, there was a pile of scales on the bank. I should assume that everything's been eaten I guess...

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Sounds like a cunning plan to me, leave a few strategically placed fish scales lying around on the bank and all the other rather excitable anglers will think the water has been Ottered out.

 

A plan so cunning you could cut a Carps throat with it.

I was working on a site 'somewhere near Stoke-on-Trent'...doing a badger survey and I found piles of carp scales near the sett...nearest water that I found (apart from a small stream) was a large garden pond..with Koi in....!!!...about 400yds away...bloody fat stripey-headed otters!

 

 

Let's hope (not) that crap don't suddenly go down with bTB..........

I fly birds of prey for a living and use them for pest control at times. I spend literally all my time in the countryside and at times have to use ferrets for getting to net or bolt rabbits. I have been doing it for many years. I have never seen so many badger sets as there is now. They have 3 fold over 3 years at least. They are a huge risk to farmers cattle and I really get annoyed at the likes of May the queen guitarist with loads of money stopping the cull while farmers who slog 7 days a week for a living get the cattle dying off in front of them and some I can say as I do much pest control on farms are having cattle dropping every week. It makes my blood boil when the likes of him see a striped fluffy animal and not a slow dying cow!
