What is the biggest cod you have EVER caught?

Nows your chance to show off how big your biggest cod you have ever caught is...

 

whether its just 3lbs or 30lbs just have your say. My biggest is an 8 pounder off Kettleness (near Whitby)

well what are your biggest?........

31LBS boat caught off IOW. Got it weighed, NFSA specimen claim form filled out but It disappeared before I could get it signed, a year later I picked up this piece of A4 paper with daughters love doodles on, turned it over and there was my claim form, been on the desk for a year, too late to claim. Have been given cod over 80lb gutted when I was on fishery protection so my 30lb'er is not that big in the grand scheme of things.

My biggest Cod was 19lb caught from a Kent beach last December 5th on mackerel. My favourite fish to catch are Bass .

My biggest cod is only just over 18lb, but many times I have caught lots of cod. To name just one time that sticks in my head I was fishing on my mates boat years ago I was 16 years old, we were fishing two rods each. We had to go to one rod each as we kept geting four cod on at once, and was strugerling to land them all.

I ended up with 34 cod from 6lb to 10 lb, we jointly ended up with 56 cod.

9lb cod from the shore at curry point , stanford le hope , essex , when I was 13 years old, my mate had a 10lber 5 mins later , its been down hill ever since.

 

I have had a number of doubles from boats but none over 20lb.

Biggest Cod??? Thats easy, never caught one, been fishing for 20 years now, havn't specifically targeted them that often, but still a poor record.

 

Hopefully going to bag one en-route to Alderney this Friday, any tips Toerag???
