The reality is that's still way cheaper than a club/syndicate ticket to target a fish that size. Not condoning it but I imagine for some, a perfectly acceptable risk.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

All,

Having also read a "related" story I wonder if the guy knew what he was doing? I know, ignorance is no excuse. I mean for 6 bucks and with an open invitation why would he?

TAT are recieving a heap of comments for this one, hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have:

https://www.facebook.com/AnglingTrust/posts/829903650412144:0?hc_location=ufi

just one example, moaning about the in-equality being shown. Didn't TAT receive payment of 30,000 to deal with fish chomping?

Angling Trust publishing this? Really?? As a bailiff for a large amount of the Grand Union Canal I receive a horrific volume of calls, Eastern Europeans/English Anglers stealing fish completely, into rucksacks and creating a section of canal that cannot be fished, devoid of fish?? Should this be clamped down on?? Not an angler that returns fish? I guarantee everyone who has slated Myles has broken several rules, breaking a rule is breaking a rule, nothing is more significant than others?

Why can't we do something constructive and reduce and eliminate serious fish theft and predation??? Most organisations, NOT all do absolutely nothing or very little about the problems mentioned above, Police included! It's take me several years to gain a relationship with the police so they just consider coming out to these issues??

With the Angling Trust publishing this, it is deemed as them blackening the name of our sport? This is why the AT do not have much support, they could have much more if they were on our side?? Not publishing things like this?

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

For the sake of a £6 ticket though - wonder what he spent on bait and tackle?

It sounds like there are restrictions on the fishing and that the £6 ticket only covers certain times:

'Fishing is allowed in the mere only at certain times and only after the purchase of a £6 licence, the court heard.'

So there's probably a closed season, probably out of bounds areas, probably no night fishing.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Looking at the fishing regulations for Tatton Park, the only "certain times" is as you say Anderoo, during the old season dates, so no fishing between 15th March and 15th June inclusive. There is a certain area from which you can fish, and definitely no night fishing. So guessing this guy was fishing during the close season, and probably at night?
