If you are talking about democracy.

In my world in a democracy you have two candidates. A vote is taken and the candidate that gets the most votes is the winner.

On this occasion the candidate that got the most votes was the loser.

Now you can call the system what you like but it is not democracy.

53 million voted for him, a populist vote, following 8 years of a so called democracy party that left so many disenfranchised, what went wrong with the democrats I have to ask.

Like our first past the post system based on constituency MP's, the American system is not perfect. It is however what they've got under their constitution and as US citizens, they should respect the result - preferably before the insurgency (that's what it is) escalates to loss of life.

Looks like Trump has a new chum in good old Nigel. First British MP he has met face to face. I bet that the other MPs are getting hot under the collar thinking what will the future bring betwixt Trumpy and Nige !

Perhaps once he has finished fawning over his new buddy, when Trump has finished massaging his tonsils he'll get back to doing the €4,000 a month job he is paid to do.

He's going to have to reconcile himself with his "own" Party first. A helluva lot of them wouldn't pass water through his letterbox if his Tower was on fire.
