just switched my pc back on ,usually there is no log on screen this time there was BUT no users to click on :confused: . restarted and f8 and set it to boot in last good configeration ,it started exactly the same no users to click on :confused: system restored to 6.30 this evening (it was working ok then) same again no users to click on so can go no further :confused: fine when restored to 2 days ago ,i havent changed any settings nor loaded or unloaded new programs why this oddity

i hope it doesnt cross france ,one wiff of a british numberplate and it will be on the spot fines all the way

if you cant get to the floppy then you cant flash the bios BUT some modern bio`s have a recovery feature,check with the manufacturer`s website )

just buy semi (2 points without barbs 1 with) crush the other ,test on cloth if it doesnt catch its now fully barbless

i think its a very small computer check all your fans they can get very skanky and do make strange noises just before they fail ,the psu one is the worst they can seize up and cause your psu to cascade into an early death ,all fans can be taken apart cleaned and lightly regreased ,or if your not tight new ones can be purchased althought the graphics ones are almost impossible to find [ 20. i tried earlier this year with patches ,21mg fine (once i knew for sure there were no dog ends lurking in the house ) 14mg fine no probs at all ,7mg started missing the mrs :confused: who was in the shed or garden ,i realised i was in fighting mode and my mrs was keeping out of the way had a phonecall from the doc at 10pm (mrs had had headache fo a couple of days and visited him in the morning)was told to take mrs to hospital IMMEDIATLY (suspected temporal thingy ) just the excuse i needed walked to the shop whilst mrs was waiting to be seen bought some baccy if i could have a 21mg patch on my arm for life i could stop ,at least i could only get nicoteen poisoning not the other chemicals put in cigs. ok i am weak willed ,no excuses

i kept a couple of marine tanks ,unfortunatly in the garage were 30 odd tropical ones ,to combat the problem with the water getting to a unaturally high temp in the cold marine ones i begged a second hand beer chiller from the pub thouraghly cleaned it out and used it to keep the water at british sea temp rather than tropical
