Steve Walker 941
The best end rig in the world is a hook and line and nothing else. Everything else is a compromise because conditions don't let you use that. If you don't have a good reason for putting something on your rig, take it off. "Because I saw it in a magazine" is not a good reason.
John S 330
Plumb the depth throughout the swim. Feed two or three different areas in the swim you are in, aiming for features such as overhanging trees/bushes, reeds/lily pads and the margins. Really don't forget the margins. Don't overfeed, little and often is the order of the day. Be prepared to move to another swim. If the fish aren't there, they aren't going to bite. Newt 290
If fishing with braided line, DO NOT pull for a break using the line on the reel and DO NOT, DO NOT wrap it around your hand (unless you are tired of that hand and want it replaced). A smooth 6" piece of stick about thumb size is easy to carry and much better for wrapping the line around then holding while you pull. Buy a license. Pay attention to the fishery rules. Then tend to be all over the place and what is OK one place may be strictly forbidden at another. Don't use heavy tackle for small fish. You will catch nothing and become discouraged with fishing. chesters1 1587
Look both ways before crossing a road Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies! There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle Mathew 4:19 Grangers law : anything i say will turn out the opposite or not happen at all! Life insurance? you wont enjoy a penny! "To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical." Phone 750
Chesters1 One of my all time favorites/ All I need to know I learned in kindergarten All I really need to know about how to live and what to do and how to be I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate-school mountain, but there in the sandpile at Sunday School. These are the things I learned:Share everything.Play fair.Don't hit people.Put things back where you found them.Clean up your own mess.Don't take things that aren't yours.Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody.Wash your hands before you eat.Flush.Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.Take a nap every afternoon. When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands, and stick together.Wonder. Remember the little seed in the Styrofoam cup: The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup - they all die. So do we.And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK.Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and equality and sane living.Take any one of those items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult terms and apply it to your family life or your work or your government or your world and it holds true and clear and firm. Think what a better world it would be if we all - the whole world - had cookies and milk about three o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap. Or if all governments had as a basic policy to always put things back where they found them and to clean up their own mess. And it is still true, no matter how old you are - when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.Copyright: Robert L.
