Tonights dinner top trumps

I'm not seeing bread and dripping featuring very often on the menu. :)

Has it completely disappeared from our lives?

Must admit, I can't remember when I last had some. :sad2:

Toasted with Marmite yummee

Just had an excellent venison, carrot, parsnip, onion, tomato, barley and appropriate herb stew, with broccoli and potatoes. Delicious.

It looks like a bit of silverside to me.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

I've got a recipe somewhere for corned beef hash tex-mex style, also with a couple of eggs on top (I just used to break them onto the hash and put the lid on the pan for a couple of minutes. Very nice.

corned beef hash

Ahhh! Remember steering a boat down the Crouch many years ago in the early hours of a summer's day, whilst Chevin and John (the boat owner) prepared breakfast in the galley.

The mainstay of breakfast was corned beef hash, and the aroma drifted back to the helmsman. That aroma was a feast in itself. Breakfast was even better.

I have forgotten what fish we caught that day, but will remember that corned beef hash for the rest of my life.
