Not much left Hugh but allready hear boats that do standby work being bought up to go back fishing when we leave the Eu do you not think the wool was pulled over the eyes when cod quota was increased. Its desperate off the Yorkshire coast but then the friendly scallop fleet came from far and wide here and hooked every bit of ground known to man here leaving it Like a desert for whitefish they have destroyed many many locals jobs who depend on sea commercial and recreational to make a living . .

What. Might happen when we leave the Eu the under 10ss might just get a fair share of the quota and the big boys who literally run the industry let the smaller boys make a living on whitefish once again the men that do the least damage long lining get little or no quota and have practiacally no discard its wants a massive rerack .

All,

Just curious - every nation state has a source of sovereignty. Does the UK have MAJORITY RULE or are you a "strict commonwealth" where the power is lodged in elected officials?

Phone

We are not majority rule, but there are many UK voters and AN members who don't know the difference between Parliamentary Democracy and the Tyrrany of the Majority, Phone. I'l let you decide who they might be ;-)

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

You have been asked time and again to tell us all what ground has been affected. now you report that all the fishing ground has been affected. As far as I heard it was a local spat between the potters where it's been claimed you could walk across the ifca area without touching the ground because of fleets of them. And the scallopers who have towed a few away. So what's it going to be a local issue or the whole of the Yorkshire coast has been decimated?

quota btw was an invention of the e u, hopefully once out a fishing industry based on norways can be developed.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Barry I have said time and time again you know aboutsutley 0 about the affects of scallop dredgeing as an angler you should hold you head in shame condoning this barbaric way of Fishing that's destroys the habitat that hold lobsters crabs and yes whitefish no habit no fish what's actually happened off the Yorkshire coast is the same as chopping a rainforest down why have cod stocks dropped 80% no trawlers Barry catching them take a wreck away what do you have nothing it's the same with the ground local BBC news was in Whitby a month ago covering the story and yes went out on the local tv the same day peoples eyes have been well and Truelly opened what's happened here it's very very serious stuff .

Norway has banned scallop Dredgeing because its an environment disaster its kills the ground !!!! do the Norwegians look after there fishery YES !

ha ha ha ha, you still haven't answered, at best all you can provide is a swerve, now what area of decimation are you talking about, surely there can't be miles upon miles of scallop loving ground that has been permanently ruined ?

You fail to tell us if it is a local spat between the draggers and the potters, can you at least confirm that one point, yes or no.

And according to you these retractable 75 mm tines can flatten out rocky outcrops can they, while in search of the scallops hiding in the sandy crevices.

Weren't that long ago you was complaining bitterly the trawlers were clearing out all the juvenile cod stocks during the herring milt, have you got over that one?

ohh my gawed.

Back on track after 7 years the e u has failed in negotiating a Canadian trade deal, what hope has the e u got in holding on to the much larger u k lucrative market.

You really are an idiot Barry !!!!??

Why did the norwegians ban dredging was it because it had no environmental affect increased crabs and lobster numbers of it improved fish stocks OR is it because it's an environmental disaster to everything but a scallop only one guess now !!!!!!.

The EU rides roughshod over nation sates, referendums on the Lisbon treaty and the will of the European peoples but has an international trade deal derailed by Wallonia.

your two left feet again and personal assumptions of my brain does you no good what so ever, I was referring to the Norway model of no discard unlike the e u who have wasted billions of tonnes of food with their shiet policies and it's still continuing today with their new legislation on the bass.

more swerving from you, why are you so reluctant to answer the question? Do you not have an answer?

PROVIDE DETAILS OF THIS ECOLOGICAL DISASTER OFF YOUR COAST, AREAS AND LINKS TO THIS WOULD BE GOOD. WHAT HAVE THE E U DONE TO PREVENT IT. AND ARE YOU PROTESTING TOO MUCH BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE ANGLING BAG LIMITS ON THE COD IS THAT WHAT YOU ARE WISHING FOR.
