I really enjoy televised sports - at least some of them - and happily watched those of the US qualification events that were shown. Then the actual Olympics started and WOW - overload.

 

NBC (National Broadcasting Company), has exclusive US rights to the initial broadcasts of all the events and will accumulate over 6700 hours of televised Olympic events from opening to closing.

I spend more time looking for something decent to watch than actually watching tv ,when the skies full of satellites pumping it out theres a lot of looking to do.

 

On a side note apart from drugs the olympics is best man wins but i find the olympics for the disabled slightly unfair ,is a person with two spring legs better equipt to run than one with just one spring leg etc ?

 

I think it should all go back to the original concept of amateurs competing not countries and more moustacheiod athletes on both sides and ditch the clothes

I cannot stomach the anthem part its an individual not a country

I like the fact that you get to see sports that you otherwise don't get an opportunity to see, such as archery or trap shooting.

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.
