Brexit: Trade deal talks continue as negotiators fail to reach agreement

Billions of pounds have been wiped from the value of the London stock market and sterling has come under heavy selling pressure amid chaos at Britain’s borders due to the new strain of coronavirus and stalled Brexit talks.

The FTSE 100 tumbled by almost 3% on Monday morning, erasing as much as £50bn from the index of leading UK company shares, after France imposed a 48-hour ban on freight from the UK and other countries banned flights from Britain in response to a faster-spreading strain of Covid-19. The FTSE 100 was down by 182 points to 6,346 by late morning

Peanut money the net contribution to the EU ,  a national  crisis now gripping the country for  gods sake Johnson get the hook out of number 10 .

Theres money to be made in or out ,the hedge funds win either way

I never bet on somethings elses actions they can be fulfilling an agenda

As to the end of the year "deals" can be made any time ,the end of the year is the time the EU has as much pressure as it has now ,once jan comes they have to treat us as a seperate entity ,the continued talks is the EU getting worried their power is going and trying to force a deal in their favour.Hopefully our gov holds out no deal is FAR better than one set up by the EU ,once the frenzy of EU hate dies down they can come to us for a fair deal that works for both

Quote

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer also rejected calls to extend the transition period, saying "further dithering" would not help the country.

But, that’s not a U turn, that’s not changing policy is it now?

After frustrating the process for four years his desperation to regain Brexit voters back to the Labour camp is obviously more important than appeasing wingers and whiners.

Was there someone posting on here how he was the saviour of remoaners after he pulled his knife from Corbyn’s back.

HaHaHa, more predictions go pop.

Looks like brexit has come early looking at Kent today .

£150,000 worth of live lobsters today sent back to Yorkshire as they can’t be delivered to Europe. Looks like a practice run .

Good ,hopefully the locals get them at half price or chuck them back to grow bigger, remember WE didnt close the port france did,if it closed in the future france will be closing it not us!

If its closed this side it will be the unions trying to destroy the jobs of the people they are supposed to support.

It’s locals not getting them cheap it’s the cost of the bait for the lobster Potts , fuel , harbour  commission crews wages etc etc etc , it’s suddenly all  becomes unviable but they were warned but it fell on deaf ears .Promised  the land of Milk  and honey , reality time .As anybody will tell you in the fishing game never ever leave a good Fishing  to go and look for something better that’s a fools game .Looks like 79% of U.K. fishermen do need Europe after all  , glad I haven’t just spent half a million quid on a new boat and they are only the baby ones in the fishing game .
