Black Back Gull

One of my other main hobbies, apart from fishing is photography - I know nothing about birds, but enjoy taking photos of birds, especially in flight, here is a Black Back Gull from earlier today.

 

 

I was putting it online for a friend to view, but thought I would put link on here also as I'm sure there are a few bird lovers about. - appologise for size.

I think it is the best picture of a bird in flight I've ever seen.

What sort of camera and shutter speed did you use.

My knowledge of photography is point and shoot auto this auto that.

Lush picture mate but hate s--t hawks ever since one sliced open my finger while I was taking a hook from its gob, Thats float fishing with fish strip for mackeral!

Super pic Gillies. BTW it is a Greater Blackbacked Gull - pink legs and all that....

 

Yes, Snatcher, they have a vicious bill. I once saw one kill a sheep (couldn't stop it as I was on the wrong side of the river)
