Sell out!

I want one of them camo hats :D

It's a serious offer though and I will do it properly and fairly. If it does make a difference, it will be clear enough.

Hi Graeme

Just recieved the stones and they really look the business, I can see that you must do this for a hobby and not for profit as they are so cheap compared with the quality. Thanks .

However not to miss a commercial trick I am in the process of getting some T Shirts printed with the message. I'm Stoned Are You?

Cheers for the feedback glad you're pleased with the weights, the T shirts are a great idea ;);) however I may need the marketing team to check who has the copyrights on the message before going into full scale production :D

Best inventions sorry mean't intentions

Graeme.

Graeme,if I send you a paving stone could you make me a specialist big cat camo ledger weight ? I would gladly pay the postage and for the garden wire but only if you can guarantee me they will catch me a 250lb catfish....I will gladly wear a T-shirt with "The Pebble Making Pirate" printed on it and mention your product every time I write? have we a deal?

Budgie,

We have a deal on the sponsorship front I'll get marketing to come up with a few designs, could you also consider wearing an eye patch as long as it is polorised of course

My product development team ;) have considered your request for a big cat camo ledger and suggest the following;

Source the paving flag (sorry we can't use a paving stone as someone else thought of that first) from a peg at your local fishery, that way the fish will have seen it before when previously caught and un-hooked on the bank and it won't arouse suspicion.

We’d recommend a 2 x 2 flag rather than a 3 x 2 as it is obviously more aerodynamic and will cast further, also splash less on entry.

You may need to upgrade to a 5lb test curve rod and at least 15lb braid in order to not look stupid when casting out into your swim.

You’ll also need a 3 x 3 glug pot if you want to dip the weight prior to casting (we have hundreds of those in our tackle shop) ;)

Finally if you can locate where the cat is sleeping there is a good chance you could clip up your reel to cast on top of it and possibly hit the fish thus stunning it into submission at which point you can then wade out and collect your prize.............oh and while you’re there pick up the flag because it maybe a bit difficult to retrieve :D

Remember you saw it here first <_<

Graeme, if you need some 'raw materials' let me know. The guy opposite me had a couple of lorry loads of non patented pebbles delivered. Every time he backs his car out, he brings a load out with him. The kids are skimming them down the street to see who can get the farthest.

Keep up the good work

John.

John, thanks for the encouragement ;) I'm always on the look out for a sustainable source of pebbles and it sounds like your neighbour may have just the job on his path and half way down the street by the sounds of it.

Can you send me a sample and I'll get 'legals' to check their origin if they have originated from a Brazilian rain forest we're OK but if it's B&Q I'm afraid I can't use them because they have the sole rights to sell them for extreme pebble skating by the kids and they can't be used for any other purpose :D

Graeme :)

Patrick how about this for an offer - stick 3 1.5oz inline stonze in the post (PM for address) and I will give them a 100% fair and impartial test alongside normal leads when I do my spring tench fishing, at a crystal clear gravel pit. I'll post the results on here and I promise to be absolutely honest and will not prejudge the results. When I fish for tench I use very short hooklengths so the lead is always very close to the hookbait.

I'll then either buy them off you or post them back to you.

If they make a difference, not only will I look silly but it will be some genuine publicity from someone who has no links to the company.

I'm disappointed in you Andrew, you didn't ask to sample my 'STIX', (they do make a difference I assure you).

I know I haven't any promotional hats yet, but I'm in the process of designing some. They will be the ultimate in camo' head wear, and in keeping with my 'STIX' theme, will be made from real trees. I might decide to sell them in their own right, but I'm struggling for a catchy name. Any suggestions?

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

Bollux?

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

Easy one that John! surely it has to be Capz? My talent as a promo/marketing genius has obviously been hidden in a bivvy all these years!

As long as I can pay YOU money to be a "Stix" feildtester I can offer you the ultimate marketting ploy for them- Even though we all know they will be made from natural, specially and responsibley sourced organic materials I think you should paint them to look like they are steel and call them "Fake Metal" could come in a variety of styles such as "Rusty Iron Break Up" and "Dissandvantage Oxidised Aluminium".

This time next year John we will be millyonairs!

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!
