Just for the record.........

as people may get the wrong idea about this thread, it has NOTHING to do with ferret or any thread relating to him and his postings. I'm vaguely aware of it and the complaint but have not followed the discussion so offer no opinion on it either way.

I am unhappy at a posting of mine being removed last night from the coase fishing forum along with the locking of a thread between myself and MR M last week...........along with one or two other issues.

You know me Phil........i just speak my mind and don't give a t*ss whether people like it or not!!

Theres plenty of other threads to read (if it concerns them that much, then make a post, don't go sniping for mis-interpretations)

If it bothers the MB'S that much then send a PM :clap2: :clap2:

Fishing is fishing , Life is life , but life wouldn't be very enjoyable without fishing................ Mr M 12:03 / 19-3-2009

I will add to Judy's post - Elton has produced a fantastic site here, and despite what anybody says to the contrary, no matter what site you go on, you will see familiar names!

I second that. Compared to the mods on this site, the mods at a few other fishing sites I subscribe to are like Der Gestapo. I wouldn't dare post there some of the things I've posted or seen here, lest my knuckles get harshly rapped.

Elton and the mods HAVE to keep this site clear of personal attacks, attacks against the govt. etc.

This is because they don't want to get involved with libel cases etc. which could result in this site being closed down!!

I know I get a bit hot-headed sometimes, at certain postings, but, hopefuly, you will never see me post anything that needs modding - and if I did, I would not complain if they had to remove it!

You're waffling on again KB and totally missing the point (nothing new there! )

Nobody quibbles about the curtailing of highly personal attacks, and the same goes for libelous posts too.

My post wasnt a personal attack (not even remotely like one) and wasnt governmet related etc. Myself and MR M often do not see eye to eye on things but held a hard fought but CIVIL debate on here the other week yet a certain mod saw fit to close the thread JUST IN CASE!

Sorry mate, but thats just tosh..I'm 42 not 12, I don't need a discussion thread stomped on JUST IN CASE it gets out of hand!

Given this thread today I thought the mod in question may have had the courtesy to PM me and explain why my post was removed last night..........seems not.

This is a great site. However if you're looking to compliment it with another good one, then I suggest using maggotdrowning. See :

Yep. Dave Webster's a nice bloke, too.

Not too sure about that Trogg fella :D

Since when did it become an offence to 'attack the government' on a web forum? We have not degenerated to a total police state yet

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Depends what you attack them with, I suppose. A bloke called Guy Fawkes tried it once and he didn't get away with it :D

After reading this thread I got a flash-back to when i was living at home with me ol'dear. She used to say "If you don't like what's on the 'box', don't moan, just change the channel!" :2:

I think the same applies. ;)

Garth.
