If Brexit is the true will of the British people, why would anyone in favour of Brexit fear another referendum?

Why would Leavers, in 2018, fear an emphatic endorsement of the 'will of the people' from 2016?

Why do Leavers call more democracy anti-democratic, and an advisory referendum the last word on the matter?

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

So why not just have a referendum every 12 months in case people change their minds, never mind the cost let's just keep on holding referendums "just in case" or is just a case of just one more until you get a vote that suits your opinion.

That's a straw man argument. I never proposed having a referendum every twelve months. That is your thought not mine. It is also a non-answer to the question I posed.

And what then? Another? And another? Best of five? Best of 7?

Why do you assume anybody has anything to fear other than the democratically declared will of the people becoming a f**king joke that can be ignored on a whim?

You know, a death of democracy kinda thing...

Prior to the renascence, a single European legislature based in Rome had much the sort of power that you propose and it didn't work out well.
