Green only when i had it ,strangely you could feel breeze in it which sota didnt make sense ,the boots were interesting though!

Did it have to work? After all it was meant for silly people who didnt ask the reasons behind why they we4e issued it

I was looking forward to doing some trotting this avvey, and even got on the swim i'd wanted, and it looked great!

My first nine trotts through produced nine chub, nothing big, all being between a pound and a half and 2lb'sh. Several more trotts and another chub of about 2lb, so ten chub in 12 trotts.

I fished for about fifteen minuites after the last chub and had nothing so decided to feed the swim with a few large pouches of maggots and casters and a few pouches of sweetcorn and then rest the swim for ten or fifteen minuites. I was glad to get to the bank and put my waistcoat on as the wind had made me feel quite chilly. A chap appeared who had been fishing downstream and we had a long chat,maybe half an hour. As he walked away the rain started so I waded straight out, first trott and I hooked abarbel, problem was the rain came down quite heavy then and after taking the picture of it it really hammered down and looked as though it was set in for some time....bugger!!

I decided to use my common sense and leave it at that as I was soaked to the skin already!

It was annoying as I reckon I would have had a fair session if that darn rain hadn't stopped play.

This was tye first chub I caught, didn't bother with any more pic's appart from the barbel as they were only small and I was way out in the river.

Thanks Mike, i'm quite sure I would have had a good few barbel if that monsoon hadn't rolled in!

I had planned on going today but again, the weather has put the blockers on that, maybe tomorrow.

 

I don't know how other members have gone on but the forum wasn't accessible for me from yesterday morning until just now.

I hadn't noticed. The weather is horrible today and the cricket has been badly affected. Might go fishing at the weekend if the weather improves.

I had made arrangements with mike to fish one of our clubs venues today "the nuclear falout bunker" and i'd got within 15 miles of the venue when my car failed to start after it switched off via it's stop/start nonsense!! Anyhow, I was lucky as it started with the key, but this spooked me enough to make me return home as I was worried once I switched it off at the venue it might fail to start again.

I spoke to Mike and told him the script but he was happily catching fish, so he was fine .

I took the car to a local garage and a mechanic friend of mine plugged the computer into tye car to see what the problem was, nothing showed and the car was working fine again. My mechanic friend told me these modern cars are crap and often have little glitches which makes them do wierd things.

I finnished up going to a local lake outlet and had some dace, a perch and a barbel....
