It is not a stench of hypocrisy, it is a stench of ignorance.

Many heads of countries that we would probably rather not entertain have had state visits. It is a way of using diplomacy as a tool to gain certain advantages and is an extremely strong card to play.

What a shame that May was so anxious about getting any support that she can for Brexit that she played her strongest card first.

George W Bush had to wait almost 3 years and Obama was in his third year before they got the invite.

Sorry but BC is absolutely right, May panicked because she is so worried about getting allies for Brexit.

 

So Trump is our bestest friend now. Do you think that will be the case in a couple of years time when the UK actually leaves the EU and favours need to be called in? That would have been the time for the State visit.

I wear a cap most days but my new one doesnt fit ,what are your recommendations?
