Interesting that those who champion remain, increasingly by immature insult and supposed ‘fact’ from the past fail to realise that the EU moves on, those in control continue to pursue the Federalist a

Generally speaking, dictators aren't known for implementing the democratically expressed will of the people.

You been drinking the mainstream media cool-aid again? The US economy is booming under Trump and even the Democrats have been forced to admit that there is a border crisis, that his policies are work

Nothing wrong with right wing ,not sure where a right wing is nor a left wing .

It seems anything not center is wrong but is a centrist view any good, if things don't change they stay the same and that's not good we would still be working in workhouses at 85 if we never had wings lol

I don't think our far right is really far right and far left can be just as insidious as far right in many cases look at antifa in america

Our "far" right are just jokes lots of posturing and flags but to be far right you actually have to do what you preach

If anybody can give me a cast iron guarantee that a no deal Brexit will be entirely beneficial to the country politically, economically and socially both long term and short term, I will give them the pick of my rods and reels. Politicians are unable and unwilling to guarantee tomorrow is Thursday.

I hope I'm wrong but a no deal Brexit will end in tears and I'll be off to join the Runner or the French.

Is being in 100% beneficial?

The only people that will gain is those with a vested interest either way ,money will be made by people with money whatever the vote came to!

Germany and france win because their contribution wont rise because we will be putting cash in the pot ,if we leave we keep the cash and should (but probably wont) use it to cover any increase in duty until we get our arse in action to impose our own to counter it .

If the EU want to put import duty on our goods i am sure we can do the same and as they send more here than we send there they lose more than us.Or rather the countries of the EU will and perhaps they will challenge the EU and get the tarrifs overcome and we can do the same

As to the common man if you are addicted to haribo sweets and bland dr outker yoghurt you will wish to stay in if you would prefer it made here from uk sourced ingrediants from a uk business spotting the shortage your not that bothered.

I rather think life will continue not eating pom bears theres no food we cannot live without thats only available being a member of the EU as to white goods i do own a german badged foot spa that was made in china! If i could have sourced it direct i would have!

The EU countries are more entrenched in the UK than they admit if they want to continue i am sure they will bend if enough pressure is applied ,the threat of confiscation of any EU owned company in this country should do ,DHL and UK mail have lots of nice bases we can sieze just for one! And huge export duties if they remove the rolling stock should get a few quid aswell ,if they want to play dirty we can but i think our ruling elite get more in benefits being in than out so they wont do a thing and then blame everyone else as usual

You do not understand how WTO tariffs work, Whatever tariffs we apply to the EU we must also apply to other countries that we do not have an FTA with.

https://www.nfuonline.com/news/latest-news/no-deal-and-the-wto/

A list of all of the tariffs the EU would apply to the UK is set out in the EU's Common Customs Tariff (CCT) schedule, for example lamb exporters to the EU would face a tariff of around 67%, whilst beef is around 85%.

Shame the stupid effing farmers in Wales who export most of their lamb didn't realise tha before they voted Brexit. And, before you say that is just more for us, your average British housewife would mistake a leg of lamb for a sex toy.

I am beyond caring now. I only hope that the f@ck-wit parts of the nation that voted to leave are the ones that hurt the most. F#ck them.

Yes and we already use WTO for every country outside the EU we deal with with no bother whatsoever ,is the EU forcing us to use their tarrifs outside trade with the EU ?

WTO is flexible they are not going to send in troops to enforce the unenforceable .

Change the WTO if big companies wont bigger profits i am sure they will get their way ,remember we dont have to do anything if we dont want to the WTO is not a mandatory system its a club ,start a new club and offer better rates to your mates and clobber everyone else who are not ,they will come round if money is involved

If trump can put import taxes on china we can this also means we can decide not to have any or more with anyone we choose zero tarriff is good for everyone why should the EU dictate how much we pay or demand its hardly a free trade zone if the EU dictate who we deal with and how much extra we pay on buying goods outside of it nor should the WTO they are irrevelant

If high tarrifs are put on our meat we can eat it we fricking pay enough via subsidies growing it ,if farmers cannot manage without subsidies **** them! local plumber doesnt get them nor does your local shop so why some welsh sheep shagger choosing to put sheep on a hill for a living? Get a real job and eat imported lamb at half the price like other people

The EU is an uncompetitive system wheres the wine lakes and butter mountains lowering prices ,when farmers are paid to produce nothing the system is wrong and designed to inflate prices not cheap food as is expected and how come a fta costs so much how much does it cost NOT to have a border or NOT weigh produce going over it! Its a scam and we not only pay more for our goods we pay more to pay more with the EU dictating how much it is !

Heres the timeline of people not following WTO rules ,no-where do i read invasion by WTO troops ,no decapitation of prime ministers infa t little actual punishment at all

https://www.wto.org/english/tratop_e/dispu_e/dispu_status_e.htm

Most is to stop high tarrifs not low ones beneficial to all ,if the EU put high tarriffs on our goods we do the same and the WTO cannot do anything but suggest we talk ,which we will ofcourse but the outcome is not mandatory and unenforcable by the WTO

Ah yes, the dreaded antifar terrorists.

From a report on racially or religiously motivated murders published in America.

"from 2009 through 2018, right-wing extremists accounted for 73 percent of such killings, according to the ADL, compared with 23 percent for Islamists and 3 percent for left-wing extremists"

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

Are you sure your not in antifa ,anyone not agreeing with them instantly are far right wing ,i think you should be far more afraid of them than some bald edl member with the british flag underpants

Chesters1,

Your comments on this topic are somewhat isolationist.

In a period of rapid internationalization of trade and increased labor mobility, is it relevant for nations to think about their moral obligations to others? Do national boundaries have fundamental moral significance, or do we have moral obligations to foreigners that are equal to our obligations to our compatriots?

Just so you know, as a liberal or right winger (snowflake) my personal position is, only the state or the society acting through the state as its agent is appropriately held responsible for discharging the duty regarding basic needs. Why do you think I'm wrong? If history indeed repeats itself war is the only possible outcome.
