Yup and the scary bit is I'm letting them take the boat out while I'm still at work

Still they should have enough bait caught by the time we arrive up there :D:D:rolleyes:

Just to let y'all know we haven't forgotten

Thanks for the info, Toggle, we have already booked in at the Brockenhurst site for that weekend.

Tried to e-mail Rob for three bits of info, but server chucked it back at me (twice). Perhaps I have the wrong address.

Can anyone let us know :-

1/ Starting times on 21/22 Aug ? (Forestry site keeps campers locked in until 7 am :( )

2/ Where do we board ? Old Town Quay ? Lymington YC carpark ? New Marina ?

3/ Can I park my Thames-size campervan all day in the carparks without hassle over any "no caravans" rules?

Cheers

Davy?

I wouldn`t have put a dent in it at all!!

But then again, I wouldn`t have given a seal a swimming lesson. Rowing the dingy out.

Mr B, you`re gorgeous!! OOPS.

We don`t use J`s anymore!!

Hi Vags/all,

I have just phoned Rob and he is going to check out the tides for that weekend, Bassing with Rob is governed by the tides so it may or may not be an early start!

Re the camping lockin, Rob knows of a site very near to the boat that does not lock in and his visiting anglers use it regularly.

Evidently if your van uses up 2 spaces in the car park you just buy 2 tickets for about 9 quid for the day or alternatively there is free parking available if you get there early enough.

Rob will check out everything for us when he gets back home and will be posting as soon as he can.

Its just a matter of Watch this Space :D

Cheers for now

Hi

The boat leaves from Bath Road Car Park pontoon, this is where the Royal Lymington Yacht Club and R.N.L.I station are both situated. After looking at the tides we'll be leaving at 0700h.

The campsite is Lytton Lawn - Tel. 01590 643339 - this is the touring park part of Shorefields holiday camp, although they are a couple of miles apart users of Lytton Lawn are welcomed to use the facilites at the main Shorefields site.

Cheers

Rob

Hi again

Just re-read the post - if there is no way that you can get out of the forest site before 7 then we'll leave as soon as you get over to Lymington - can't imagine you are more than 20 mins away so no probs, the other anglers aim for 0700h.

And if you can avoid it don't all bring big plastic seat boxes...we want the cockpit kept clear

Rob
