TATE & LYLE EUROPE (031583)

TATE & LYLE EUROPE (031583) is a recipient of farm subsidies in London, United Kingdom.

Since 1999 TATE & LYLE EUROPE (031583) has received €594,270,084 in payments from the European Union .

errrrm why?

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

I have always been Pro Europe and despite not liking a lot of the silly rules and regulations that comes with membership I always thought that the general idea of membership is a good thing.   Howev

The sugar industry has been paid these latest subsidies to reduce processing capacity in the Europe following a ruling by the World Trade Organisation that its sugar export subsidies were anti-competitive.

Certainly puts the hypocrisy over a "Sugar Tax" into perspective don't it?

Ahh a continuation of paying for the butter mountain and wine lake funding from many years ago. Keeping the wheels of industry moving. I bet this is one industry that Cameron certainly wishes to see continuing. yet e u rules forbids the likes of the steel industry that does produce something from being supported. Just about says all about the value of the cap.

Should the government give handouts to any company so it can remain uncompetitive?

I would rather import cheap perfectly good goods than pay more to a onshore company suffering from the "british disease" ,yes there will be lost jobs but pump the 'bribes' (sorry tax incentives) into job creation and research into such as specialised companies producing something others cannot.

Once we are out of the EU we can close the borders to cheap labour undercutting ours (for the benefit of companies not the tax man or our labour force) then hopefully chuck the human rights bill in the dustbin and get rid of the foreign leeches using it to live the high life on the backs of us and all quickly before "british" is just a collection of trade names owned by foreigners such as TATA and the rest

TATA said its holdings were worthless buy them out for that demolish the site and build houses ,even then they would be getting a bargain i expect we will have to pick up the pension fund (i would seize other TATA interests to recoup that)

Buy a brit company get millions in incentives then go broke makes sense to me

It seems to me this referendum could be a waste of time.

Cameron went to the EU and asked for too little, and got even less, but it is all being dressed up as a "good deal", whereas it is nothing of the sort.

However, what was, and is, predictable, is that politicians generally are all for mergers and as much complexity as possible - hence they want us to stay in at any cost.

Now these same politicians are trying to panic the electorate into staying in, with quoted figures (of job losses, income reduction, etc) that most of us have no means of verifying.

An ill-informed vote to stay in would be used to silence eurosceptics well into the foreseeable future, so lets hope the electorate will see through this bias. Trade will not come to a standstill if the UK leaves the EU - imagine what would happen to a French politician that tried to tell his farmers that they could no longer sell cheese to the UK .

When Cuba became independent from Spain (years before communism and Castro) Jose Marti coined the phrase " The wine may be bitter, but it is our wine". We should respond to the prophets of Brexit-induced doom in the same vein.

I would be more inclined towards the 'in' vote if they showed some positives about our future as a member. All I hear is the possible negative consequences of leaving. I don't believe that any of them know what will happen either way.

My thoughts are that if anyone doesn't like the way things have been, or the way they seem to be developing, (and I don't), then the only logical option is to vote out, (and I will).

Good point John. I pretty well agree with you on this subject.

With not many years left to me, it is tempting to think my time would be better spent on referendum day by going fishing rather than putting a cross on a bit of paper..

Fortunately, with a postal vote, I can do both, although I am a bit suspicious of the susceptibility of postal voting to chicanery.

John.

I don't see what's logical about it. The out crowd seem to me like they want to quit the syndicate, not pay a day ticket but still fish in the man's lake and take one home for the pot too.

When we joined the EEC in 1973 we were not even in the G7 and now we are the eighth biggest economy in the world. We are being asked to play Russian roulette with our economy and the future of our children and our grandchildren with three rounds in the cylinder.

Today Gove said "the UK would be part of the European free trade zone with access to the European single market but "free from EU regulation which costs us billions of pounds a year" but apparently it's not EFTA and it's not the EEA.

What is this "free trade zone"?

I don't really give a fook me. I don't have a mortgage and if it all goes tits up I can pull my ripcord and parachute into France. I can see another ERM like run on the pound and a lot of people losing their jobs and having their houses repossessed.

You're right Cory, the UK weren't in the G7 in 1973, it wasn't formed until 75, and the UK was a member then. They were also a member of the 6 nations that preceded it.
