Looks like the Brexit derangement syndrome is kicking in as it becomes more and more clear that Farage is going to trounce the traditional parties on the 23rd of May.

Worse yet, LePen is ahead in France, Salvini is ahead in Italy, Orban is secure in Hungary, Sebastian Kurz is flexing his anti-immigration muscles in Austria and populist and nationalist parties are leading the opinion polls in Poland and the Netherlands.

Populists are also on the rise in nearly every country in the block and having failed to get us out, the EU is now faced with having a very different political landscape to deal with by the end of the month.

Of course, if there is an absolute majority, one of the few powers that MEPs actually have is to turf the European Commission out of office - and that would set the stage for huge, unprecedented changes.

Or probably not ,the corrupt and powerful are well known for keeping their thrones unfortunately

If they do get rid of scum more scum crawl in to replace them

Nothing changes, same snide little comments. Sad little man. BTW, in case you were wondering, yes, I mean you Ant.

Now would that be classed as bullying do you think?

I was about to admonish for that you and suggest that you learn to play nicely but given the response, don't think I'll bother..

PS How come Farage lost so many council seats in the local elections and the LibDems did so well. Got an apologetic for that?

More personal insults.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Farage lost so many council seats in the local elections and the LibDems did so well. Got an apologetic for that?

Farage didn't loose any council seats because the Brexity Party don't hold any and didn't field a single candidate.

I've already said that UKIP's local council results were disappointing though.

That's likely to be in part because Farage has now blown back onto the scene.

It's also worth noting that UKIP fielded less candidates this time around and a lot of their former councillors stood as independents - and established councillors tend to do well in local elections.

As for the LibDems doing so well, rumour has it that a significant number of Conservative voters decided to vote for them in the southwest because they have historically worked hard and done a good job as councillors, so voting for them sends a message to May.

The thousands of spoiled papers were also interesting.

The number of seats changing hands is only a small part of the story though when we have a first past the post system and try as I might, I can't find a national breakdown by votes cast.

The two big questions for the 23rd are:

How big a margin will The Bexit Party win by? and Will the millions of working class people who don't usually vote get out and post a ballot?

Okay people, enough is enough. This is a touchy subject, but that can only to be expected since there are as many political ideals as there are people on the planet. What isn't going to happen however is letting this thread degenerate into a load of insults aimed at other forum members, so keep it friendly or it goes :rtfm:

I wonder what would happen if all the remainders took to the polls in force Farage wouldnt be smiling so much but really just what is the point he has hardly ever bothered to turn up in Brussels had millions out of it not bad for somebody who cant be arsed to go to work but collects every month he is a fraud and if the Brexit party clean up then what nothing absolutely nothing especially if they cant be bothered to turn up just as much as Farage did he is an embarrassment.
