It means "a one way thing", there would not be any 'free tickets' to allow the uncontrolled movement the other way, in reciprocation.

John.

Unless you happen to be Irish.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

There may well have to be some kind of control on that border if it proves to be a problem.

No cause for concern - yet

This little nugget stands out

"The document also says big businesses could soon "point a gun at the government's head" to secure what they need to maintain jobs and investment.

It comes as Japanese car manufacturer Nissan said it was given "support and assurances" over trading conditions once Britain leaves the EU."

Come on Dave, an unsigned 'leaked' memo, really?

It might or might not be true, but I would want a bit more detail on source, and motive, before I passed judgement.

I know what you are saying John but sometimes these leaks tell more truth than the official release.

At the risk of repeating myself.

"They live life very vividly, and the stakes are very high if you don't have a lot of money to cushion your life. Also, because they're the front line of what we came to call the class war. Either through being workers without work, or through being exploited where they were working. And I guess for a political reason, because we felt, and I still think, that if there is to be change, it will come from below. It won't come from people who have a lot to lose, it will come from people who will have everything to gain."

"My imaginary friend doesn't like your imaginary friend is no basis for armed conflict...."

Its doing what all governments have its called 'incentives' IE favourable tax concessions ,government handouts (sweeteners), favourable VAT manipulations ,paying the companies employee tax rates ,a 1001 and 1 fiddling in the background we cannot see ,its always done ,it always has been it always will be when big business rules the roost ,in return those 'favourable' to the companies get 'incentives' in return

Heres some speculation about TATA. ,labour would have done the same if in power and has in the past

Most of its about keeping face ,thousands put on the dole isnt good for the governments prestige but forking out FAR more money than just paying them dole is not unusual

Labour were experts hiding dole figures by putting the long term in the disabled box and promoting 'training' schemes that helped no-one but the government because those in training are not on the dole or rather not listed as unemployed ,it ofcourse costs far more to hide them but its not the governments money is it so it was rife as is incentives to companies to stop their overpaid employees hitting the dole because without the handouts the companies would go elswhere
